Boat trip, lunch and guided tour at Munkholmen
Thursday 12 June, 2008,

Start by boat from Ravnkloa Fishmarket, please be there 15 minutes
before departure.
It is 5 minutes walk from Radisson SAS along the canal. Enjoy the boat
ride over to the island, giving a spectacular view of Trondheim harbour
from the boat. When arriving Munkholmen we will be met by an English
speaking guide, taking us on a 20 minutes tour to the old fortress and
prison. After this it is lunchtime and you will be served a two course
meal in the picturesque restaurant. After lunch the time is at your own
leisure. The boat departs every 60 minutes back to Ravnkloa, so you can
return whenever you like.

which includes the round trip by boat, guided tour and lunch as

Munkholmen - prison island,
fort and former monastery
The fascinating Monks'
Island is not to be missed. This little island with a fort is
situated in Trondheim harbour and served as Trondheim's
execution ground and special prison in ancient times.
Today the island is a popular recreational area, with good
bathing and a popular restaurant.
Open from 20 May to 3
September.
Boats depart daily every hour from Ravnkloa.
